Zelkova (Zelkova serrata ‘Green Vase’) is vase-shaped with branches diverging at a 45 degree angle to the central axis similar to that of American Elm.  Dark green serrated 2-5 inch long leaves give way to yellow golden bronze, and reddish-purple fall colors.  Makes a fine street & park tree.

Soil Requirements

  • Easily grown in average, medium wet, well-drained soils in full sun. Established trees tolerate some drought. Prefers rich, moist loams. Generally tolerant of urban conditions.
