Forest Pansy Redbud (Cercis canadensis ‘Forest Pansy’) is similarly spectacular in the March-April landscape with more intense red-purple flowers. The flowers appear on leafless branches and are one of the first trees to flower in the spring. The heart-shaped leaves are reddish-purple in color.
