The Deodar Cedar (Cedrus deodara) is the most popular landscape cedar because of fast growth and high branch density in youth. The habit is fluffy and dense becoming more open with age. With 1-2 inch blue-green needles, they are easy to transplant into the landscape.

- Full sun to part shade
- Best grown in moist well-drained, acidic loams in full sun. Drought tolerant once established. Intolerant of poorly drained wet soils. Best tolerance of the true cedars for hot and humid summers.
