Hicksii Yew (Taxus x media ‘Hicksii’) is a hybrid cultivar that is dense, narrowly columnar, with upright branching.  A good choice for a modern landscape, work great as a hedge or screen and can be pruned into a tight formal type hedge.  Cold hardy.

Soil Requirements

• Growns well in average, medium, well-drained soils of near neutral pH in full sun to part shade. Tolerates a wide range of soils as long as drainage is good. Also tolerant of full shade and considerable pruning. Prune or shear as desired in early spring before new growth appears.
