Forest Pansy Redbud, Cercis canadensis ‘Forest Pansy’, is a popular purple leaf cultivar of Eastern Redbud. similarly spectacular to the green leaf variety in the March-April landscape with more intense red-purple flowers.  The flowers appear on leafless branches and are one of the first trees to flower in the spring.  The heart-shaped leaves are reddish-purple in color.
