Eastern Redbud, Cercis canadensis, is a treasure in the March-April landscape. A Native flowering tree to eastern United States. It has clusters of magenta buds. Rosy pink flowers bloom on leafless branches. The Eastern Redbud is one of the first trees to flower in the spring. The distinctive dark green heart-shaped leaves have yellow tints in fall.
