The Okame Cherry, Prunus ‘Okame’, is a beautiful deciduous tree with pink flowering blossoms in the spring. It grows more upright than other cherry varieties with a slightly rounded canopy. Flower blooms arrive earlier in the spring than many other flowering trees.

Mature Height

  • 20 Ft in height and 15 Ft in width

Sun Preference

  • Full sun is ideal for this tree. It means the tree should get at least 6 hours of direct, unfiltered sunlight each day.

Soil Requirements

  • The Okame Cherry grows in acidic, loamy, moist, sandy, well-drained and clay soils. It is moderately drought-tolerant.
